Oral - history
Together, let’s bring history to life
The « A Possen » Museum is developing an oral history program to bring the history of the Moselle to life in a new and captivating way.
This program is part of the museum’s current exhibition redesign project. Its goal is to preserve and highlight the intangible heritage of the Moselle region through authentic testimonies from its inhabitants.
The oral history program aims to capture the memories and experiences of local residents in audiovisual form. These personal stories will be preserved for future generations and may also be integrated into the museum’s future visitor experience, offering a unique and enriching immersion into the history of the Moselle.
This project is not only a preservation initiative but also a unique opportunity for participants to become passionate narrators of their own history. By sharing their stories, witnesses help build intergenerational connections, strengthen community interactions, and create a living heritage for generations to come.
Call for Participation
The « A Possen » Museum invites all residents of the Moselle region who have memories and experiences to share to participate in this project as voluntary witnesses. Each life story will be celebrated and appreciated in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Specialized institutions can also contact the museum if they know of voluntary witnesses interested in taking part in this enriching initiative to share their knowledge and anecdotes.
At the same time, the museum is seeking old photographs and documents related to the Moselle. If you have personal archives, family photos, postcards, or any other historical material connected to the region, the museum would be delighted for you to share them. These treasures will help enrich the collective memory of the Moselle and vividly illustrate local history.
For any further questions or to take part in this enriching initiative, please do not hesitate to contact the museum team.
